EEC Modification Project

The EEC Pipeline currently interconnects with the Elba Terminal in order to support the proposed Elba Liquefaction Project. EEC proposes to construct compression facilities to provide additional gas supply through its existing EEC Pipeline. As part of the project, EEC proposed to install a modification to a compressor station site known as the Hartwell Compressor Station in Hart County, Georgia. The Hartwell compressor station was approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in Docket No. CP12-11 and placed in service April 1, 2013. Additionally, EEC plans compression and ancillary facilities at additional sites in Jefferson, Chatham and Effingham counties in Georgia and Jasper County in South Carolina.

On March 21, 2014, Elba Express Company filed its certificate application with the FERC. The FERC authorized the project on June 1, 2016, and on June 7 issued the project notice to proceed with construction.
