Investing in the Safety of Our Communities

The work that Kinder Morgan does to deliver energy often entails collaboration with our neighbors, and the safety of the communities in which we operate is of the utmost importance to us. We are pleased to work with local communities across our operating regions to make positive impacts together.

In 2022, Kinder Morgan Terminals donated $7,500 to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office (PPSO) to purchase essential self-defense and communication devices. The PPSO seeks to efficiently protect citizens and continuously improve relationships with its community and is located in Plaquemines Parish, which is home to over 23,000 residents and Kinder Morgan’s International Marine Terminal in Myrtle Grove, Louisiana.

“We thank Kinder Morgan for their support, which allowed us to purchase equipment that is vital to the safety of our deputies as well as the protection of the constituents and visitors of Plaquemines Parish,” said Sheriff Gerald A. Turlich, Jr. “The ultimate goal of PPSO is to continually improve our training and methods while providing the necessary tools to effectively and safely execute our duties."

Kinder Morgan places a high value on public safety, and we are proud to continue working with organizations like PPSO to help safeguard our neighborhoods that play a crucial role in the communities in which we conduct our business and where many of our employees call home.
