Kinder Morgan Elves Spread Holiday Cheer

Posted on Friday, December 22, 2023

While it is easy to get caught up with the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it is also a good opportunity to spread good cheer to those who need it the most. The Kinder Morgan elves have been busy doing just that to benefit their local communities.

Houston headquarters employees participated in the Combined Arms’ Operation Santa initiative. Combined Arms is an organization dedicated to delivering innovative technology solutions to improve the quality of life of veterans so that they can easily access the resources needed to thrive. Their Operation Santa initiative is an annual donation drive that provides veteran families with toys and gifts curated to meet each family’s needs.

The holiday elves at our Colorado Springs office were also spreading holiday cheer this year.

“When we were developing our holiday initiatives, we wanted to focus on benefiting local families and the elderly,” said Kinder Morgan’s local organizer Rachelle Werme. “This year, our employees participated in gift and food drives for the Fostering Hope Foundation, Kids Crossing and Silver Key Pantry.”

The Fostering Hope Foundation and Kids Crossing are both dedicated to supporting youth and foster families in the local Colorado Springs community. Our employees worked hard to brighten the holidays for five different families supported by the Fostering Hope Foundation by providing them with a total of 75 gifts. Our employees also donated a total of $500 in gift cards for kids supported by Kids Crossing.

Silver Key Pantry is a program of Silver Key Senior Services that distributes government food programs to supplement a senior’s diet and improve the health of low-income older adults. Employees participated in the food drive to help ensure that this vulnerable community has something to eat this holiday season.

These are just a few of the many holiday initiatives that occurred across our office and field operations locations. A big thank you to all of the employees who participated in activities in the areas where they work to make this holiday season merry and bright for those in need.
