On June 15, 2012, GLLC received approval from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to export LNG to Free Trade Agreement (FTA) countries.

On July 31, 2019, GLLC received approval from DOE to export up to 10.85 MTPA, equivalent to approximately 1.531 billion cubic feet per day, of LNG to Non-FTA Countries.
