Tennessee Gas Pipeline Abandonment and Capacity Restoration Project (ACR Project)
Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company, L.L.C. (TGP), a subsidiary of Kinder Morgan, filed an application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on February 13, 2015 for TGP’s Abandonment and Capacity Restoration Project (ACR Project). TGP seeks authorization for the abandonment of certain natural gas pipeline facilities and the subsequent sale of such facilities to an affiliate, Utica Marcellus Texas Pipeline (UMTP). The ACR Project also seeks to modify certain existing pipeline and compression facilities on the TGP system and to construct new pipeline and compression facilities that will be needed to continue natural gas transportation service to existing natural gas firm transportation customers following the proposed abandonment.
