Kinder Morgan’s pipeline markers, like those below, are placed at intervals along the pipeline route, at road and railroad crossings and at all aboveground facilities. These signs identify the general area but not the exact location of the pipeline. They specify the type of product transported, the operator’s name and an emergency contact number.

It is a federal crime to damage, remove or destroy a pipeline marker.
