The midstream crude oil assets consist of 4 crude oil gathering systems with approximately 1,222 miles of crude oil gathering pipelines, 888,000 barrels of crude oil storage and 34 crude oil truck unloading stations.

The Kinder Morgan Midstream Unit's Saint Jo System gathers, compresses, treats, and processes gas from wells in the Barnet Shale Combo play in Cooke, Denton, Montague, and Wise Counties of North Texas. The Saint Jo Plant has condensate stabilization facilities, a 1500 GPM amine treater to remove carbon dioxide, and a 100 MMcf/d high NGL recovery cryogenic plant with ethane rejection capability. The Saint Jo NGL pipeline transports NGLs from the plant to ONEOK Hydrocarbon's Arbuckle NGL pipeline and residue gas is delivered into NGPL and Atmos Pipeline.

Kinder Morgan Midstream’s Altamont System gathers casinghead gas from wells in the Altamont, Bluebell, Blacktail Ridge, and Central Basin oil fields of the Uintah Basin in Duchesne and Uintah Counties of northeast Utah. Altamont consists of over 500 miles of low-pressure gas gathering pipelines, 23,000 horsepower of compression, a 60 million cubic feet per day natural gas liquids recovery plant (currently being expanded to 80), and a 5,600 bpd fractionator processing NGL's both recovered in the plant and trucked in as y-grade. Propane, Field Butanes and Natural Gasoline are sold by truck from Altamont.

Kinder Morgan jointly owns 51% of Bighorn and operates it through its Midstream Unit. The Bighorn Gas Gathering system consists of approximately 273 miles of pipeline and 53,000 hp of compression providing 300 MMcf/d of scalable throughput capacity.

Fort Union Gas Gathering
The Fort Union Gas Gathering system (FUGG) gathers and treats gas produced from coal bed methane wells in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming. Kinder Morgan jointly owns 37.04% of Fort Union and its wholly owned affiliate is the Managing Partner. FUGG consists of three parallel 106-mile, 24-inch pipelines with 1.25 Bcf/d of throughput capacity and a 1,500 GPM centralized amine treating facility for removal of CO2. The pipelines originate in the Dead Horse area in Campbell County and end near Glenrock in Converse County, where gas is delivered into Kinder Morgan’s interstate natural gas pipelines: Wyoming Interstate Company and Colorado Interstate Gas.
