Rockies Express - West

REX – West is a 713-mile pipeline from Weld County, Colo., to Audrain County, Mou.  Virtually all of the route parallels existing utility corridors, using siting guidelines from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and most of it is in sparsely populated areas.  All 713-miles of REX-West are now fully operational with a capacity of 1.5 billion cubic feet per day.

REX – West consists of the following facilities:

  • 713 miles of 42-inch diameter pipe from Weld County, Colorado, to Audrain County, Missouri.
  • New compressor facilities at the following locations:
  •    - Sweetwater County, Wyo. (near Echo Springs)
       - Weld County, Colo. (near the Cheyenne Hub)
       - Sedgwick County, Colo. (near Julesburg)
       - Gage County, Neb. (near Steele City)
       - Clinton County, Mo. (near Turney)
  • Approximately five miles of 24-inch diameter pipeline lateral, and a meter station near Echo Springs (Carbon and Sweetwater Counties), Wyo., to connect the existing Echo Springs Processing Plant, owned and operated by Williams Energy, to the REX – Entrega Segment 2 pipeline.
  • Additional compressor units at the REX – Entrega compressor facilities near Meeker in Rio Blanco County, Colo., and Wamsutter in Sweetwater County, Wyo.
  • Various meter stations and interconnections to existing pipeline systems.
